FOOD Starbucks

There is no name that is safe when ordering a drink at Starbucks. A simple John is quickly turned into "Jawn," and Lucy is suddenly "Leussay," begging the question are all Starbucks baristas simply dyslexic or is there a spelling scheme going on among the green-aproned workers?

In a viral video put out by Super Deluxe, an undercover investigator named Molly went to five different Starbucks locations to uncover just how badly the baristas can butcher a name. Audiences were shocked at how her incredibly easy to spell name was written on her cup in a variety of horrifically incorrect ways. Such as Mollys, Mali, Molli, and even Mommy.

Thus leading to the conspiracy theory that Starbucks purposely misspells names to create an air of mystery and intrigue surrounding the café name game.

The video explains, “that innocent scribble on the side of your pumpkin spice latte is tugging at the subconscious of your friends to go out and buy pumpkin spice lattes of their own.”

We see you Starbucks, and we still want coffee.
