Celebrities who have been blackmailed for crazy reasons - Most of the blackmailers sought to extort money from these celebrities, demanding fortunes so that personal photographs and videos, as well as accusations of misconduct, wouldn't be released. In other cases, they received death threats and were persecuted for no apparent reason. 

It's true that these celebrities' powerful status played in their favor and, in most cases, the blackmailers attempts were unsuccessful. Some have had to pay damages and some others have even been arrested.

Cameron Diaz - When she was 19 and before fame, the then-aspiring model took topless photos but never authorized their publication. However, the photographer attempted to sell them back to her for $3.5 million and threatened to release them if she didn't comply, according to The Guardian.
