Tragic plane crashes involving soccer players
Emiliano Sala's body has been identified
News broke on January 21 that Argentine soccer player Emiliano Sala from FC Nantes, went missing. After a dream transfer to Cardiff City, he was on his way back to the Welsh capital, when his aircraft mysteriously disappeared from the radars.
The active search for the plane was called off on January 24, but a French woman, walking on a beach near the northern French town of Surtainville on Saturday (January 26) found a seat cushion believed to be from the Cardiff City footballer's flight. Officials soon found the plane wreckage, and have now announced that they have identified the player's body.
