How often should you wash your bras?
Be honest: think you wash yours enough?

Perhaps many have wondered about this at some point and, if we're being honest, some are probably guilty of going a few days, weeks, or even months without washing their bras!
But how often are you actually supposed to be washing them? According to Real Simple and their brassiere expert Danny Koch (owner of lingerie store Town Shop), the garment should be washed every other wear or after three wears, maximum.
After wearing a bra for 10 to 12 hours, the garment begins to collect body oils and starts to lose elasticity. Because bras are typically expensive, delicate pieces of clothing, the best way to wash them to ensure they last longer is washing them by hand in the bathroom sink. Let the bras soak for 4 to 5 minutes before hanging them up to dry.
Finally, Koch says that you should be rotating between four bras a year, with each getting between 90 to 100 wears.
Now you know!
